Battle Monument School is filled with remarkable students, dedicated staff, and families who understand that progress can look different for every child. Guardians of Battle Monument was created to make sure this community has people standing behind it beyond the walls of the school.
We bring families, supporters, businesses, volunteers, and the surrounding community together to create visibility, raise support, build connections, and turn good ideas into action.
BATTLE MONUMENT DESERVED MORE PEOPLE IN ITS CORNER.
Battle Monument serves students whose educational programs require highly individualized support. Families rely on an incredible team of educators, therapists, nurses, instructional assistants, specialists, and support staff who work every day to help students communicate, grow, participate, and become more independent.
But a school community like Battle Monument also has needs and opportunities that reach beyond what happens during the school day. Families need connections. Projects need supporters. Events need volunteers. Good ideas sometimes need funding. And one of the most extraordinary school communities in Baltimore County deserves to be better known by the community around it.
That is the space Guardians was created to fill.

Guardians of Battle Monument began as a parent-led booster organization built around a simple belief: when families, school staff, neighbors, businesses, volunteers, and supporters work together, we can create opportunities that no one person could create alone.

The impact wasn’t only the money. People saw Battle Monument. They asked questions. They learned about the school and the families behind it.
The Battle Monument Express created a visible, inclusive way for Battle Monument to participate in the community parade.
The community response following the parade showed what can happen when people learn Battle Monument’s story.

Families decide what information they share, what opportunities are right for them, and what support they choose to pursue.
When we feature students, families, staff, or personal stories, we use real people and appropriate permission — not invented testimonials or pretend success stories.
Battle Monument students do not need a website built around sympathy. They deserve opportunity, inclusion, respect, visibility, and a community willing to show up.
Guardians of Battle Monument Booster Club, Inc. is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity supporting the Battle Monument School community. Guardians is not Baltimore County Public Schools and does not make educational placement, IEP, staffing, medical, or school-administration decisions.
THE NEXT CHAPTER IS STILL BEING WRITTEN.
Guardians has already shown what can happen when people rally around Battle Monument. Now we want to build something even stronger — more partnerships, more family resources, more community involvement, more projects, and more opportunities for students and families.
